MTP, APL and NOA - Concepts to future-proof the process industry

The process industry has always taken the conservative approach when introducing new technologies into their process plants, which are expected to run for decades with very few interruptions. Reliability is everything, and new technologies have always been greeted with caution. However, new challenges and new opportunities are leading the way into a more digitalized world. Arne Modersohn will present current success stories as well as challenges around the Module Type Package (MTP), Ethernet Advanced Physical Layer (APL) and NAMUR Open Architecture (NOA), a joint effort between NAMUR and ZVEI.
